Welcome to the Candy Shoppe-

Its here , the new blog, the place to come to read about everything happening at KH photography. This is the place to learn about the specials, to see your sneak peeks, to catch up on gossip, trends and all kinds of other fun things. I guess this is where you will get to know me too, as you know, I tend to ramble and talk about all sorts of relevant and irrelevant} things. So, grab a snack {chocolate, yummy} and browse around!

A few tips for getting around- the navigation is at the top of the page, you can search by keyword and categories. You can also bookmark the site to get updates when I post {at the very bottom of the page}. You never know when the next special will be! Also, feel free to leave a comment, I love to know who is checking in! All of my website links are above as well, which will take you to the portrait site or the wedding site. Some of my favorite blogs are listed in blogroll, so you can sneak a peak there, too.

The lovely picture of me was taking at the fabulous restaurant, Micheal's, in Key West. Yes, its the only decent picture I could find and it features my better half, my husband, Mark. I promise to update that soon!

{The one} where we guess the sex of the baby

Odd title, huh? I know, but its really what I have been doing all day! I started to post this blog sneak peak and I thought the best way to end it was with my guess of the sex of this little one! Meet Mrs. A and Mr. T {yes, again}. I give them enourmous kudos, they are WAITING till the birth of their first little one to see if its a boy or a girl! How freaking exciting is that! So, Mrs. A, to see my guess, scroll below!

This client represents my 6 degrees of seperation theory, again. One of my other clients is friends with Mrs. A, and she recommended me as a photographer for her new little one. Well, when Mrs. A went to my site, she realized she already knew me! Ends up, a few years back, I was the new member advisor for the Zeta Tau Alpha chapter here at UNF, and Mrs. A was one of the girls I worked with in the sorority. I have not seen her since Ash was born! It was so great to work with her and her husband. They both did such a great job, and even said they had fun…I gotta know, do you guys think I am going to torture you during your session! LOL! Mrs. A is absolutely glowing, and looking absolutely fabulous {yes, her shape is that spectacular while pregnant!}. I hope you guys enjoy these last few weeks, and I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!

And here is my guess:

Ok, so here it is. While Mrs. A is carrying low, and was not at all sick, I am just not convinced its a boy. Its all based on that chinese calendar! I have never known it to be wrong, and thats what the calendar says! I guess in about 7 weeks we will know!!

{The one} where we meet Mr. T

That sounds kind if funny, doesn’t it?? Oh well, this is Mr. T, he is 4 months old, and just adorable! He was so relaxed during his session, it was wonderful! Of course, his mom was really relaxed too! I told her my kids would kill for me to be relaxed as she is! Both of them were so relaxed we got through this session in an hour! I never do that! Of course, with little ones, you know when they reach there “DONE’ point.

Thank you so much for allowing me to photograph this adorable little one, and I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!

{The one} where we learn to cheer…

Sort of! Friday was the first practice for Ashleigh’s cheerleading squad.  8 girls under the age of 7 {and most 5 and 6} doing cheers- you can imagine how this worked out! Bless the coach, she is trying to keep them simple.  I know you guys know the simple ones, like

“We’re  A-W-E-S-O-M-E,

awesome,

awesome,

TOTALLY!”

Easy enough right??  Well, not if you can’t spell! LOL! Which of course, Ashleigh is only beginning to do! So, I am putting the date on all of these, so I can see there “growth” and “change”.  The first game is creeping up! YIKES!!

** Anyone notice the really SHORT cheerleader, no not ash, although she is the smallest, the REALLY short one! Yes, Haylee seems to think she is on the team!

{The one } where we meet Mr E.

How gorgeous is this young man? I know, not how you describe a boy, but he is just so… GORGEOUS! His eyes just wow me! Mr. E just turned 1 and came to the studio to celebrate! Of course, Mr. E, like most 1 year olds is VERY particular, and he does not like cake! So, instead we celebrated with cheerio’s! Now, what baby does not love cheerio’s? His mom and I were wondering what parents did before cheerio’s became the “perfect baby food”? Mr’s E’s mom is a scrapbook designer and does papercrafting for magazines and manufacturers, and has a great blog here where she documents her life with Mr. E and her hubby {you MUST check out her birthday onesie idea- it is so fabulous}. They are new to the area, and they are both recent UF grads, so you know I just adored her! I can’t wait to get the kids together, E and Haylee would have a blast! I was reading on her blog about her trip down to the city of St. Augustine, and now I want to drag her and the kids and go do that! Well, maybe once the weather cools down!

Hope you guys enjoy your sneak peak, and hope E slept all the way home! Happy First Birthday E!
