  • Bonjour!

    Welcome to the chronicles of my sweet and sometimes crazy life.  If you are new here, thanks for stopping by!  I am a busy of 4 {2 boys, 2 girls}, a wife to the MOST amazing man on the planet, a photographer and a designer.  I have been photographing for as long as I can remember, but I picked up my first DSLR in 2006, as a way to capture my children- especially Haylee, who was a newborn at the time.  Before I knew it, I was in business and and could barely keep up- and I LOVE IT! I photograph families, babies, children, maternity, boudoir, and most recently weddings.

    This fabulous blog is where you will get to know the wonderful families, couples, babies, children, that I have the honor of photographing.  Of course, this is where you will get to know me, my crazy family and all of our wonderful adventures.  Keep an eye out for specials too, because this will be where I post those and all their fabulous details.

    If you need help navigating, use the categories and search up above this post.  And please, levae some blog love by way of comment...seriously, I love knowing I am not talking to myself {although, I have been known to do that every now and then too...}

{The one} with the birthday…

I want to be a kid again…seriously, I do! Yesterday, the family headed over to a birthday party  for the uber- fabulous 6 year old- Miss Landry.  Upon arrival, we were greeted by a HUGE bounce house- you know the kind with the bouncy part AND the slide! When I was a kid, a birthday party consisted of some games, some cake, and then you sent them on their merry way!  Now kids get dress up parties, bounce house parties, arcade parties…I am so envious!

Miss Landry had a great birthday, and so did everyone else there! I dont think Haylee left the bounce house until it got so dark, she could no longer see the yard! We stayed to celebrate the Super Bowl too- and while Mark’s Colt’s did not win…we ate, drank and were merry! What a perfect way to end the weekend!

Happy Birthday Landry!

{The one} with the rocker…

Becoming a parent is like an initiation into an exclusive club, Sure, millions of people do it every year, but once you are in, you are in for life! Becoming a member of the “parent” club changes you in ways you never dreamed possible. I remember my mom saying she would stand in front of a moving bus for us kids…and me thinking “are you CRAZY??”…and then I had kids. Or asking her who she loved more, John, or myself…and her saying, “I love you both equally, and differently”. Of course, I thought that was crazy too- and deepdown I knew she loved me most {hha, John}! But…then I had Haylee, and realized that you could indeed love two children both equally and differently.  Yes, becoming a parent changes you…

Its what I always tell my new moms and dads when they come in.  I know they must think I am nuts- they are all bleary eyed from lack of sleep, and new parent exhaustion.  But deep down, none of them can deny the truth- they are different, changed, subtly at first, but then they too realize they would stand in front of a bus for this little bundle in their arms- no matter how bleary eyed they are! This couple was no different. Sure, they were tired, but excited, that amazing new baby “high” as I call it- the early moments where you know that you have created a miracle.  Dad was especially cute during this session. He had this great “move” he did with Miss C- he rocked her far away from his body, in a boat like motion- and the minute he started, Miss C was as calm as could be.  yes, its a move I will be adding to my newborn “soothing” lineup!
Congratulations on your new bundle! Enjoy every moment!

{The one} with Miss L

…who is 1 year! Miss L came solo for her big cake eating session. Which was good, because she is mobile- and thats always makes for more fun in the studio! She thoroughly enjoyed her cake- and her cowboy boots! Such a beautiful and sweet little girl- made me miss the days of my girls being babies…

Happy First B-day Miss L!
