We had so much fun {after thr rain passed} wondering through the historic district and shooting. Of course, we had to hit the cemetary to do a Twilight style shot {Notice the apple}. These two are a photographers dream- up for anything and the greatest attitude- I love it!

Thanks again to Stacy at SLN Studios for her awesome second shooting work during the wedding, and to Cassie at Cassie-M for her help during the Day after shoot. I had a lot of fun with you guys too!

So, about 15 minutes later {when we realized what we had forgotten}, we wnt sprinting back to were the stuff was- only it was not there! Needless to say, panic set in for me- I dont want a client to lose anything on a shoot! I felt awful! Well…that is until this really nice man walks up and says “are you missing some keys and a phone”? YES!YES! So, this awesome guy had picked them up and turned them into the restaurant- assuming someone had walked off and forgotten them.

Of course, I am standing here with a woman in a white strapless dress, and a guy in dress slacks {not typical Saturday attire for downtown Jax} so the nice man asks me what we are up to.  After explaining he tells us he works for a new bar , and when we finish to head on down.  Now, a bar in downtown kind of scares me for photographs- but I am always up for a challenge, and it appears so were the Michelle & hez.  So, after we finished we headed down to the bar- and found it to be so FABULOUS! Lit, an uber chic bar in downtown, was a the perfect spot to finish up our session.  The brick wall was as yummy as could be, and that couch- well, they were lucky that I did not walk off with it!  But more than that, the staff was so awesome! The bouncer, John, who found all our stuff introduced us, and even gave Michelle and Hex passes to come back later that night as VIP’s!  Seriously, this place is so cool- so if you are out for a hot date night, get by there! Its definitely worth the trip! Thank you also to Floriade for the always amazing bouquet- as usual Tuffani rocked it!

Ok, so a little background on this gorgeous couple. You may remember their e-session, down in Atlantic Beach. Well they eloped in July, and live in Texas. They were back here this weekend for a family birthday {Happy B-day Mr. P} and so we got together to do their day after session. We started at the White Room, where we had some wonderful light, and my favorite brick wall! We moved from their onto Flagler College, where we shot some great stuff in the hallways. Now, I know that does not tell you about the eyes! You see, everytime I would get Katie ready for a shot where she would be facing Trey, she would start giggling. For the life of me, I could not figure out what he was doing. Trey was quiet, so I could not figure out what was so funny. And then he showed me…he does this CRAZY thing with his eyes, where he makes them move back and forth REALLY fast, almost like he is possessed! Its so wicked {yes, I am a child of the ’80’s}. Apparently, Trey’s REM {rapid eye movement} totally freaks Katie out! Ahh, ain’t marriage grand!

I had such a great time with these two, and as you can see, they were both fabulous models, and totally in love. I had a great time with you guys! I hope you had a wonderful time in Florida! Enjoy your sneak peak!

Mom and dad {and big brother} were headed out of town just before this session, and then had none stop action once they returned, so we wanted to make sure we got Miss O! You know that fear, you wait for what sees like ages for them to sit, and then you blink and they are crawling! So, her and big bro came by the studio this week for part 1! I do so adore this age, even when they are still working on perfect the “sit”. They are so happy, and giggly and squishy- and Miss O did not disappoint!

Yes, you read right! I dont know how many of you have ever had a wet wedding dress, but they weigh ALOT! And I dont know how many of you have ever wakeboarded- but I can tell you I have NEVER been able to get vertical on one! So, if you put this combination together- it amazes me that she could not only wakeboard, but do it in a HUGE WET wedding dress! I had such a blast shooting this Day After session- trampoline’s, wakeboards, and river swings! I will say, a little boat ride is the perfect start to a Saturday morning! So, we waited…and we waited, and finally on Sunday, we had the PERFECT day! Of course, I say perfect, because I was in a t-shirt and shorts! Kelly and Kenny were in a bridal gown, and a suit, respectively.  But, there was no rain, and that was wonderful!

We had such a good time, but I will tell you Sunday’s at Jacksonville beach are PACKED and I mean PACKED! We got more catcalls, advice, and pictures taken then the average celebrity.  Apparently when you show up to the beach in your formal wear, people stare!

I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peak- I had a blast!!

Well, it ends up the dry cleaner did, and shrunk it 4 inches! Fortunately, after our session, the dry cleaner said he could stretch the dress and make it look like new- and that was after she jumped into the pool at One Ocean during our “Day After”.

If you have not been to One Ocean yet, you are really missing out- Its UNBELIEVABLE! Its where the old Sea Turtle used to be, in Atlantic beach, and the re-did the entire hotel- Magnificent to say the least.  But even better than that is the wonderful staff.  Each person we encountered while there was beyond accommodating! From the special Events coordinator, Hetty Ubilla,  to James Manual at the front desk, we were truly treated like Rock Stars! It was fabulous!

This session was one of the most fun I have done.  Thank you Loren for being up for anything, including swimming! You are such a beautiful person, on the inside as much as the outside, and it has been a true blessing to work with you this year.  Chicago is lucky to get you back, and Jacksonville, soryy to lose you!

So, I am on the phone with my sister in law the other day, and she says to me “I was on the phone with a friend today, and she told me she saw a bride, in the water, with her dress on at sunset, was that you”? And, of course, it was! I tell you, 6 degrees of separation in this city! My boudoir client from a few weeks ago, ventured out with her new hubby to do a good ol’ trash the dress session! Now this one was even more fun, b.c the bride wanted to surf in her dress! She got out there and surfed, but the waves did not cooperate- it was Lake Atlantic!

Thanks guys for Trashing the dress with me! I hope you are LOVING being newlyweds, and I hope you enjoy your sneak peak! Congratulations!

I have so many people who ask “what is a trash the dress session {urban dress session}”? So, I thought I should post some portriats while the Je T’aime site is being worked on.  As any of you who have already said “I do” know, the dress is dirty after the wedding, so before you get it cleaned and put away for your daughter to wear, we get together and do some portriats of the bride in her dress, RELAXED! It is so much fun because the wedding is done, and the stress is gone.  But, it gives you that one last time to put on that magnificent gown and feel like the most beautiful woman in the world.  The session can be as clean {or as “trashed” as you want}.  Some brides love to keep it simple, go to the park or a few spots downtown and get some images with {or without} their new hubby.  Other brides love to get into a fountain {San Marco anyone?} or the beach and have a great time! So, when we talk about the TTD session, dont worry, its one more way to remember your day!
